About the destination

The Emerald Coast is one of the best known coastal areas of northern Sardinia, whose fame transcends Italy. It covers 55 km long and has an area of more than 30 km 2. The waters of the Emerald Coast are a luxurious tourist destination with beaches of clean and fine white sand, The main cities and towns of the area are Arzachena, Olbia, Porto Cervo, Liscia di Vacca, Capriccioli and Romazzino. The warm climate and sunny weather are, next to the turquoise waters, the best postcard on the Emerald Coast. The water temperature reaches up to 23-25oC normally in summer, and outside the heat is not very sweltering, 28-30oC, since the situation of the coastline allows the current of breezes. The Sardinian (Sardinia) Cup sailing regatta is held annually on the Emerald Coast during September. Other activities on the Emerald Coast include the Italian film festival in Tavolara and a rally of period cars. Celebrities and famous Italians flock to this region in summer, looking for its turquoise waters and renowned beaches, and anchoring its luxurious yachts in the secluded coves. June, September and October are not as crowded and offer much less overwhelming temperatures to enjoy the Emerald Coast.
