Day 05 - Aswan / Cairo:
Breakfast and disembarkation. Transfer to the dock to board a boat to the island of Philae, where you will visit the Temple of Isis. Afterward, visit the Aswan High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering built in the 1960s with Soviet assistance. Transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 06 - Cairo:
After breakfast, visit the Giza Plateau, home to the iconic Great Pyramid of Khufu, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. You will also see the Valley Temple of Khafre and the Sphinx, with its lion’s body and human head. After lunch, you may visit the Saqqara Necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the first stone pyramid ever built. Return to the hotel for overnight in Cairo.
Day 07 - Cairo:
After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of Cairo’s highlights. The tour begins at the Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of Tutankhamun and an extensive collection of artifacts from different periods of ancient Egypt. After lunch, visit the Coptic Quarter, known for its religious significance, where Christians, Jews, and Muslims have coexisted for centuries. See the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Continue to the Citadel of Saladin, where you’ll find the impressive Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known as the Alabaster Mosque. Finally, explore the vibrant Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest and most famous markets in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 08 - Cairo / Departure:
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight.
